Supermarket chain Asda has issued a recall of one of its homeware products over a risk that it may contain sharp objects. In an announcement on Thursday, February 5, the chain revealed that a small collection of its duvet sets is being recalled due to the reported presence of metal pins.

The affected product is the Red & Pink Harlequin Super Snuggly Teddy Duvet Set, which was sold to customers between August 2025 and January 2026. The supermarket explained: “It has been identified that a small number of products may contain metal pins originating from the manufacturing process. The presence of these foreign metal components poses a risk of laceration to users.

“The product does not meet the requirement of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005, so we have taken the decision to recall the products.”

Below you will find the name of the duvet set affected, along with the sizes and the barcode number. The affected products include:

The barcode is on the product’s care label. If you have identified your bed set as one of the ones affected by the recall, Asda advised customers to return the duvet set to your nearest Asda store.

You can return the bed set for a full refund. Customers will not need a receipt to return the item.

Asda wrote on its corporate website: “We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
