This week’s £10 Tuesday extravaganza includes an amazing discount on Boots’ number one retinol product. For a limited time, shoppers can save £27.95 on the No7 Pure Retinol 0.3% Retinol Night Concentrate, with it usually retailing for £37.95. The anti-ageing product is recommended for first-time retinol users and is designed to help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration, blemishes, and pores by accelerating cellular turnover.

No7 says it’s clinically proven and expertly formulated to deliver 10 skin results. This includes reducing the look of stubborn and deep wrinkles, dark spots and pigmentation, visibly improving skin texture, and providing a more even skin tone. Other benefits are that the skin feels firmer and more lifted, while looking visibly more radiant.

The No7 Pure Retinol 0.3% Retinol Night Concentrate combines two of the ‘most powerful age-defying technologies’, Matrixyl 3000+ and 0.3% Pure Retinol. It’s formulated to ‘harness the power of retinol, giving great results while minimising irritation’.

The product is designed to be used as the first stage of your evening skincare routine. Simply apply two to three pumps evenly onto a cleansed face avoiding the eye, outer eye and lip area. Once fully absorbed, continue with the rest of your skincare regime.

No7 recommends limiting the initial use of the retinol to once or twice a week on non-consecutive nights, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. As a guide, it will usually take at least four weeks to reach nightly use.

The No7 Pure Retinol 0.3% Retinol Night Concentrate has earned an overall rating of four out of five stars from over 400 reviewers. One impressed user commented: “This is worth every penny. Fine lines fading and like magic in a tube. This product has a powerful impact on wrinkles while you sleep. I am very happy to see the results after using it for two months. You won’t be disappointed.”

“Love this product,” wrote another satisfied buyer. “It was just the right strength to see results after a couple of weeks. My skin was looking dull after winter and it definitely made a difference.”

It’s worth noting, however, that not everybody who has used the product has seen results, as Boots reports that ‘89% of women agreed the product gave great results’. Retinol can also cause sensitivity, so it’s recommended to read the included directions and warnings before first use. No7 says to always apply SPF the following morning.

One Boots customer sadly suffered side effects from using the No7 retinol, as they explained: “I did a patch test and all was good. I built up to using it daily then it seemed to make my neck wrinkly and look burnt. It’s still damaged weeks later… I wouldn’t use it again as it’s caused long lasting damage, maybe my own fault. but when there’s so many products with retinol competing with each other, this is not one I would go back to.”

On the other hand, the No7 Retinol has become a staple in some people’s evening skincare routines, as one person noted: “Makes me feel less wrinkly and gives smooth supple skin. I have used it since it came out, wouldn’t be without it.”

You can buy the No7 0.3% Pure Retinol Night Concentrate for £10 here while the Boots deal is live. Fancy browsing more anti-ageing retinol products? Paula’s Choice is currently offering its 1% Retinol Treatment on sale for £51.85, down from £61. It contains skin-supportive peptides and vitamin C that ‘smooths wrinkles and firms the skin, visibly reducing signs of ageing’.

If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option, The Ordinary’s Retinol 1% in Squalane costs £8.50. The high-strength retinol serum is designed to target the general signs of skin ageing.
