Amazon’s Spring Sale is here but are high street deals even better?

Amazon’s Spring Sale is in full swing, running until March 31, with significant discounts across beauty, tech, home and garden and more. If you’re looking for big savings, this sale is worth checking out. 

However, while Amazon has offered impressive discounts, it’s worth remembering that some of the biggest brands – including Dyson, Shark, and Ninja – are running their own direct sales. Sometimes, you might get a better deal shopping directly with the brand or on the high street.

With that in mind, we’ve compared the best Amazon Spring Sale offers with discounts straight from the brands themselves to see where to get the best value for your money. 

Best deals: Amazon vs High Street

Dyson

When it comes to vacuum cleaners, Dyson is a brand that needs no introductions. Known for its powerful suction, innovative design and cutting-edge technology, Dyson vacuums are a favourite for keeping homes spotless. 

The best Dyson deal we’ve spotted in Amazon’s Spring sale is a 41% discount on the DC40 Ball Upright Vacuum Cleaner, now priced at £147.91 from £249.95. The vacuum is designed for all floor types, and thanks to Dyson’s signature ball technology, it can turn on the spot, making it easy to manoeuvre around furniture and tight spaces. 

As far as we can tell, Dyson no longer sells the DC40 directly, having upgraded to the Dyson Ball Animal Multi-Floor Vacuum; that model is also on sale, but at £279.00, down from £379.99, it’s still more expensive than Amazon’s DC40 deal.

Dyson is still running a sale on its website, with discounts on some of its more popular models, including the cordless Dyson V8. While these newer models are pricer than Amazon’s £147 offer, they could be a better choice if you’re looking for the latest technology. 

Shark 

Shark has built a loyal following for its powerful, easy-to-use vacuums, often seen as a strong rival to Dyson. Whether you prefer a corded upright for deep cleaning or a cordless model for convenience, Amazon and Shark’s official sites have dropped prices. 

The best Amazon deals we’ve found include discounts on Shark’s Corded Upright Vacuum (£122.55 from £199.99)—a great price for a vacuum known for its strong suction and anti-hair wrap technology. This smart vacuum with an auto-emptying dock is currently £189.05 from £349.99.

Over at Shark’s official website, the smart vacuum is on sale for £199, meaning Amazon’s deal beats it by about £10. Amazon also beats the price on the upright vacuum, with Shark selling it for £129. 

Ninja

Ninja has made a name for itself with innovative food tech, from high-powered blenders to some of the best air fryers on the market. If you’re looking to upgrade, Amazon’s Spring Sale has dropped prices on several popular products — but as we’ve found, one deal is actually better from Ninja Kitchen.

Amazon has discounted the recently launched Double Stack XL Air Fryer to £229.99, down from £269.99. But if you want the lowest price, Ninja is selling it for £198 from £230 — making it cheaper than Amazon. 

However, Ninja’s Outdoor BBQ Grill is 30% off on Amazon, now £299.99, down from £429.99, saving shoppers £130. Ninja Kitchen misses out on Amazon’s price here, with the same model priced at £315. 

GHD

GHD is a go-to brand for professional-quality hair styling, known for its sleek, high-performance straighteners and innovative tools. If you want to upgrade your styling routine, Amazon’s Spring Sale has slashed prices on several GHD products.

The Original Hair Straighteners are £99 from £139 — a solid £40 saving on a cult-favourite hair tool — while the GHD Max Wide Plate Straighteners are £169.99 down from £209. The brand’s dryer-straightener hybrid, the Duet Style 2-in-1 Hot Air Styler, is also on sale, down to £268.80 from £379, saving shoppers 29%. 

Over on GHD’s own site, we found the Original Straighteners at the full price of £139, meaning Amazon’s £99 deal is far better—although the GHD bundle includes a hairbrush and heat protect spray as well as the hair tool. Meanwhile, the Max Wide Plate Straighteners are £179, and the Duet Style is £304, making Amazon’s deals cheaper. 

Bose

Bose is renowned for its premium audio equipment, offering top-tier headphones and speakers with exceptional sound quality. Currently, Amazon has slashed prices on several of Bose’s popular products. 

For instance, these QuietComfort SC Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones are reduced to £188.95 from £319.95 — a decent 41% discount from Amazon. The SoundLink Max Portable Speaker is now available for £299 from £399.95 in the Spring Sale deals.

Over at Bose, shoppers can enjoy the same QuietComfort headphones for £189.95 from £319.95 — slightly more expensive than Amazon. Meanwhile, the Max Portable Speaker is down to £299.95 from £399.95, which is the same discount as Amazon’s.
