Amazon Prime members only just learning about 6 perks

As monthly subscriptions go, many would argue that Amazon Prime is well worth the money for giving members access to streaming and more convenient online shopping, but a TikTok creator has recently pointed out that every membership actually comes with six additional benefits that subscribers can take advantage of free of charge.

Prime members get access to Amazon Prime Video, along with free next-day or same-day delivery on hundreds of thousands of products on Amazon. However, TikTok creator @onthemoneywithme, who shares advice on financial literacy and savvy spending, revealed there’s actually way more to a subscription, reports the Liverpool Echo.

She explained: “If you pay for Amazon Prime, there’s a good chance you’re not using half of the things you’re paying for. So, most people think Prime is just fast deliveries and Prime Video, but there’s actually a lot more included. First is Prime Reading and Audible. If you never opened Prime Reading, go do it right now. Basically, Prime Reading gives you access to a rotating library of books, magazines and short reads, completely free.”

According to Amazon, this includes comics, graphic novels and Kindle Singles, with everything from fiction, non-fiction, and children’s books available. Subscribers also get free early access to Kindle book releases through Amazon First Reads.

As for Audible, she said: “Audible isn’t included by default, but Amazon regularly runs promotions for Prime members, so if you like books as much as I do, this alone can make Prime worth it.” At the time of writing, Prime members get two credits with their free 30-day Audible trial, instead of the standard one credit.

Another perk that comes with an Amazon Prime membership is Amazon Photos, which allows users to back up, organise and share all of the photos and videos from their phone, computer and other devices.

The TikToker said: “I know that, same as me, you are paying for iCloud or Google Storage because your phone is full. So this is literally a way to save money using something you already pay for.” Amazon says members get unlimited full-resolution photo storage and 5 GB of video storage.

For takeaway lovers, she also noted that Prime members can benefit from free Deliveroo deliveries. Amazon specifies that members get one free year of Deliveroo Plus Silver, worth £40, which unlocks free delivery on orders over £15 from restaurants and £25 from shops

She continued: “There’s also Amazon Music Prime. And finally, there’s Prime Gaming, where you can get free games and a free Twitch subscription.”

Additionally, Prime members can secure two standard Odeon tickets for £10 or two recliner tickets for £15. Users can redeem the offer once a month.

Many people were oblivious that they were paying for more than just Prime Video and quick delivery.

One commenter said: “My Amazon Photos are connected to my TV, so it shows them as a slideshow any time I pause YouTube or Netflix. So cute.”

A second said: “Thank you so much. I just linked my Deliveroo and Amazon Prime account.”

A third added: “Wow, thank you, I absolutely did not [know about this]”.
