Amazon knocks £250 off Acer Nitro gaming laptop
Gamers looking for a new laptop are in luck, as Amazon is now offering a huge £250 discount on the Acer Nitro V 15 ANV15-51 Gaming Laptop. Originally priced at £749.99, the device can now be snapped up for £499.99 thanks to a handy 33% discount. This is the cheapest price around, with Currys offering the gadget for £649.
Shoppers are advised to act fast if they want to snap up Amazon’s unbeatable price, as this limited time deal won’t be around for long. The 15.6-inch Acer Nitro laptop offers a ‘dominating performance’ thanks to the 13th gen Intel Core i5-13420H processor and 8GB of RAM. The sleek black device can handle ‘the most demanding games at the highest settings’ and offers the ‘very best gaming experience’ with smooth, blur-free visuals.
Gamers wanting to explore alternative laptops may be interested in Curry’s current offer on the MSI Cyborg 15 15.6″ Gaming Laptop. This device has 16 GB storage and usually costs £649, but can now be purchased for £599. For shoppers looking for more storage, Lenovo’s Legion 5i 16 gaming laptop offers 1 TB and is priced at £1,199.
The Acer Nitro laptop features a pair of cooling fans that have dual intakes and exhausts for maximum airflow to keep things cool. Only two Amazon customers have reviewed the device so far, with it earning an average rating of four stars, but no written reviews have been submitted.
However, over at Currys, the laptop has an overall rating of 4.6 from 39 reviews. One impressed buyer wrote: “Laptop works well and runs well. Good value for money. Gaming is smooth no problems. Good use for college assignments and classes. Video calling is great, I found no problems with it. The keyboard is nice and quiet when typing. HDMI running well and has enough space for a few 4-5 games.”
“Very easy to install,” commented a second happy customer. “It works from morning till night and doesn’t get hot. I often open 8-10 pages and it runs smoothly. Netflix, Word, internet, editing programs and a medium-strength game in between. I suppose it could handle heavier games, but I have no experience with that.”
A third shopper said: “Great laptop for a great price. It takes any game I throw at it and is fairly quiet while playing too. Easily accessible inside to improve storage capacity and RAM capacity. All in all, a really good laptop for the money. Would recommend 100%.”
Unfortunately, one Currys customer was left disappointed with the Acer Nitro laptop, saying it’s ‘extremely slow for gaming’. Someone else wasn’t completely satisfied, as they explained: “Don’t get me wrong, I love it, it does everything it says on the box and looks amazing but the battery life is shocking. I am lucky if it can go for an hour and 10 minutes before it needing to charge, and it gets really hot really quick. Other than that, I’ll give it a solid 8.5/10.”
However, another buyer was left delighted, as they wrote: “Excellent product with high attention to detail in its design and good performance. It has a powerful processor and very good graphics which has been very useful for games and demanding graphic design programs (Premiere Pro). Screen is great and sound is decent too.”
