The South Korean superstars took over Vegas with an appearance at the AMAs amid their four-night stint at Allegiant Stadium

BTS made a show-stopping appearance in Las Vegas, delivering a performance of Arirang track “Hooligan” for the 2026 American Music Awards. The set seemed to have been filmed at their Arirang World Tour at Allegiant Stadium before the awards ceremony.

The septet appeared onstage bathed in red light and dressed top to bottom in slick black outfits while flanked by masked backup dancers. In a moody backdrop echoing the track’s music video, the group brought their slick track to the thousands of screaming fans.

The AMAs announced that the South Korean superstars would be on the bill for the 52nd AMAs just five days before the awards show. The group are already in Sin City, having kicked off their four-night stand at Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, May 23. (The run will continue next week with shows on May 27 and 28.)

BTS are also nominated for three awards this year, including the AMA’s marquee prize, Artist of the Year. The group is also nominated for Best Male K-Pop Artist, and their single “Swim” is up for Song of the Summer.

BTS have been incredibly busy since their long-awaited return after a multiyear hiatus as all seven completed their mandatory military service in South Korea and embarked on solo careers. The recent Rolling Stone cover stars dropped their comeback album, Arirang, in March, and they’ll spend much of the rest of the year touring the globe. (Another set of North American dates is scheduled to kick off in August.)

In a recent Rolling Stone cover story, BTS’ RM described the creative mandate he put to the group as they prepared for their return. “I’ve been saying to the members, ‘If we don’t challenge anymore, then I think there’s no reason that we should keep doing this as a team,’” he said. “We have to show the world that we are still ongoing and still exploring. It’s so complicated sometimes. But still, I think we have to push it to the edge even more, even more, and it’s still not enough.”
