Addison Rae Performs at Coachella 2026, Nods to Justin Bieber
Addison Rae dazzled the Coachella audience with her pop girl glamour on Saturday night. As promised, the festival set was a departure from her recent live performances but still brought all the avant-garde drama the singer is known for.
The set opened with “Diet Pepsi,” which rang out as the screen read, “The Fame and Glory Show.” Her dancers sported black jackets branded with the word “fame,” while Rae donned a boa made of hundreds during “Money Is Everything.” During “Aquamarine,” she welcomed Maddie Ziegler to the stage. The famed dancer twirled, dropped, and enraptured the crowd in a flowing white ensemble, while Rae contrasted her in bright red latex.
Red was a recurring theme throughout the set: red sirens, a red brooch on her first outfit, the red pom poms her dancers shook. It kept showing up — then Rae decided to add something new to the mix.
Rae got the stage warmed up for tonight’s headliner, Justin Bieber, slipping on a purple hoodie for “Headphones On” and asking fans in the crowd, “You here for JB?” The singer leaned in further, quipping, “Just kidding, I’m here for Justin Bieber.” Rae does love fame, after all.
She shared the sense of stardom with a fan during her remix of Charli XCX’s “Von Dutch,” recruiting one to lead the song’s signature scream. She had a good time making her way over to the crowd, mostly because she got to break some rules. “Can I go in here?” she asked, then immediately added, “Oops! I’m doing it.”
Last week, Rae teased that this show would be different from her recent live performances on tour. “This show is not really #TheAddisonTourShow anymore….. it’s #TheFameAndGloryShow. Sort of a 2.0. Starts at Coachella and finishes in Poland,” she wrote on Instagram. “You don’t want to miss it!!!!!”
Rae’s set on Saturday marked her first full-length solo performance at Coachella. In 2025, the singer made her festival debut when she joined Arca’s set as a surprise guest to sing “Arcamarine,” the remix of Rae’s “Aquamarine.” Rae made the most of the moment with a cheeky album announcement: The singer wore a see-through white dress and hot pink underwear with the release date for her self-titled debut album written on them. At one point, Rae shook her ass at the crowd so she could effectively communicate.
The singer has always had a clear vision for her visual storytelling. In her Rolling Stone cover story last year, she detailed how she prepared for a record label meeting with a binder full of ideas. “I made a slideshow … I just mood-boarded my vibes. I literally had no music to play him at that point, so it was about trust. Like, ‘Yes, I’m in the clouds, and I enjoy being there. But I’m also serious.’”
