A Home Bargains shopper says a cheap product has left her feeling ‘better than ever’.

Posting on TikTok under the username @Jessmcg_, she shared her enthusiasm for a £2 Home Bargains product, praising it as a game-changer that has revolutionised her haircare regime.

Originally influenced by a haircare specialist’s advice on TikTok, she’s replaced her expensive shampoos with this wallet-friendly option.

In one of Jess’s videos, she shows her affection for Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo, which she scoops up at Home Bargains for a mere £1.99.

Inviting her followers to join her shopping adventure, she said: “Come along with me. We’re going to need a trolley for this one because I’m not holding back.”

“I did actually need to grab a few bits I’d run out of, one of the things being this Dove shampoo. I absolutely swear by it. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.”

Her switch to Dove was inspired by a trichologist she follows on TikTok who suggested the intensive repair variant.

She added: “Since following her recommendations my hair has never felt better. I’ve ditched a lot of my high-end shampoos.”

Jess mentions that she complements her routine with a weekly use of a clarifying shampoo and also slips a Pantene Keratin Shampoo into her basket.

Trichologist Abbey Yung, who shares her expertise on TikTok as @Abbeyyung, has endorsed Dove Intensive Repair as an excellent option for hair in need of some tender loving care.

She said: “Dove Intensive Repair is hands down the most unsexy shampoo and conditioner that I recommend.”

She also shared her initial qualms, saying: “Like, I was even sketched out to try this the first time strictly because of the packaging, but I’m so glad that I did because the ingredients are incredible for damaged hair and my hair feels amazing after I use these.”

According to Dove’s official website, their Intensive Repair shampoo is designed to fortify damaged hair “from within”, boasting Smart Target Technology that zeroes in on and mends harm, alongside Fibre Repair Actives aimed at rebuilding the inner structure of hair fibres.

While neither the Dove Intensive Repair shampoo nor conditioner appear on Home Bargains’ online platform, eager customers can pinpoint their closest shop with the aid of the store locator tool available on the website.
