Cage the Elephant Preview New LP With Raucous Single ‘Make It Easy’

Cage the Elephant will release a new album, Dying in Reverse, on Feb. 5, 2027. The band previewed the LP with “Make It Easy,” a mid-tempo rock number they also performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Dying in Reverse was produced by Justin Raisen and SADPONY. A press release notes that the album sees the band embracing “experimentation, spontaneity, and the chemistry of working through ideas together in the room.”

“This record turned out to be such a special one for us,” frontman Matthew Shultz said in a statement. “It’s without a doubt, one of the most creatively gratifying experiences we’ve had as a group yet. After all these years already remaining so tightly knit, it really does feel like this album managed to pull us even closer together. In a way, it’s a goodbye to the past, closing the door on an era, with a renewed perspective grounded in the present while also walking towards the future with hope and gratitude. Signifying a rebirth of sorts. It’s got all these interesting little windows into the memories and experiences that have shaped who we are as individuals, as well as ultimately a band. I just love it so much. We can’t wait to share it with the world.”

Cage the Elephant’s last album, Neon Pill, arrived in 2024. They’ve previously shared several tracks off Dying in Reverse, including the title track and “Beaches In Tennessee.”

The band will headline the halftime show at the 2026 NFL Munich Game on Nov. 15, where the New England Patriots take on the Detroit Lions. They have an extensive tour planned for next year. The trek kicks off in Berlin on Feb. 8, 2027.
