Meta’s Muse AI Charms can interact with each other

Meta’s handheld AI gadget, called the Muse Charm, will be able to recognize and interact with other nearby Charms when it launches later this year. That’s according to a report from Bloomberg, which includes more details about the device that the company teased during its Meta Connect keynote on Wednesday.

The Muse Charm houses the company’s buzzy Muse AI agent and comes with a built-in 5G modem, meaning you won’t need to connect to Wi-Fi to interact with the AI agent, according to Bloomberg. It will come with a two-inch OLED touchscreen, a new operating system, and a fingerprint sensor you can use to start interacting with Muse AI.

The Charm will also feature cameras designed for taking photos and videos, as well as for providing Muse with visual information about its surrounding environment, Bloomberg reports. It will have built-in speakers, microphones, and a USB-C charging port as well, while offering music and video playback, according to Bloomberg. You’ll also be able to set up the device through Meta’s Muse app on iOS or Android.

Zuckerberg says Meta plans to launch the device “in time for the holidays in December,” but didn’t confirm any pricing information. Sources tell Bloomberg that the Charm will likely cost as much as a smartwatch, though the company still hasn’t determined mobile carrier fees for 5G access.
