Google announced new features coming to Android devices as part of this month’s feature drop update. Among the highlights are the introduction of Motion Assist — Android’s version of Apple’s Motion Cues feature, which tries to reduce motion sickness by overlaying dots on your screen that move in response to a vehicle’s movements — as well an expansion of Find Hub. The Find Hub update will introduce a new way to find important items without having to attach a tracker.

According to a Google blog post shared today, you’ll soon be able to ask Gemini to remember where you put an important item like a passport that you don’t frequently use and may forget exactly where you stashed months later. Gemini will save its location and let you add a photo. When you need it again, you can ask Gemini for that location, or find the item in Find Hub’s remembered items tab. The feature will be available on devices running Android 16 or later in countries where both Gemini and Find Hub are supported.

Other updates include Guided Vision, which uses your phone’s camera in Gemini Live to help you read the fine print on labels or menus or locate items such as a specific ingredient in the cupboard. The feature provides voice feedback if the camera framing isn’t lined up properly, and is coming to devices running at least Android 9. Chat themes for Google Messages is also now available, letting you select a background image that text bubbles will automatically match. And starting today, everyone in a Google Message chat can create and edit notes through Google Keep, so you can collaborate on a shared grocery list or trip planning.
