FitFlop shoppers snap up sandals that are so ‘comfortable’

Sandal season is here. Shoppers on the hunt for comfortable shoes they can walk in and get lots of wear out of can find many options on the high street.

FitFlop is a brand that specialises in flip flops, the summer wardrobe staple. Its NEO-D-HYKER Water Resistant Sandals are priced from £90 and come in a handful of hues, including black, cappuccino, silver and apricot.

Nevertheless, FitFlop’s NEO-D-HYKER Water Resistant Sandals have more than 135 reviews, with one pleased wearer writing: “I bought this style two years ago in white and found them so comfortable and quite up to cliff walking and paddling! Easy to keep clean and very durable. I just could not keep myself from ordering another pair, especially at the great sale price.”

A second user penned: “Really pleased with these sandals. They are so comfortable and easily adjusted to fit my forever-changing feet due to ongoing foot issues due to arthritis in the feet. Easy to wear and a neutral colour. Cushioned and sturdy so you can walk anywhere in them. Fits true to size.”

Someone else remarked: “Sturdy, comfortable and a great fit with the adjustable straps in all areas. Good grip on uneven terrain so perfect for summer/warmer weather hikes.”

One reviewer gave the shoes a three-star rating, explaining: “I wanted to love these sandals; they are light and the footbed is really comfortable. However, the middle strap (unlike the toe and heel straps) doesn’t have padding underneath, and unfortunately, this means it cuts into the top of my foot. Such a shame as they are so close to being perfect!”

A fifth buyer had more luck, writing: “Wore these for the first time yesterday and wow were they comfy! I have arthritis in my big toes and am now struggling for footwear but I walked around an exhibition for four hours and no problems.”

A penultimate customer penned: “I bought these sandals as they were advertised as walking sandals. I find getting really comfortable shoes so difficult.
