A Mrs Hinch fan has shared their favourite method for fresh-smelling laundry. When it comes to tackling the washing pile, many homeowners use scent boosters and similar products to leave their clothes smelling as fresh as they look. There are many products on the market, giving customers a variety of choices.

For shoppers who prefer reading feedback before making a purchase, there’s good news. A Mrs Hinch fan recently turned to Facebook to ask cleaning enthusiasts for their recommendations, and several supermarket staples topped the list of favourites.

The question was raised on a Facebook group titled ‘Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips.” Inspired by cleaning influencer Mrs Hinch, social media users often exchange tips and tricks on the platform.

In a recent post, a Mrs Hinch fan named Judy asked for recommendations for scented washing products. She wrote: “Please can you recommend your favourite washing powder, pods, etc that leave clothes smelling lovely and fresh without the awful chemical smells that some leave? Keep changing mine but never truly happy with what I choose. Thanks.”

In response, several commenters shared the tips that have worked best for them, naming popular brands often found in supermarkets. For instance, someone wrote: “Bold 2 in 1 powder or liquid, no need for extra fabric softener.” A second social media user shared: “I’m using Persil pods atm and my washing smells lovely.”

A third Mrs Hinch fan replied: “I use Sainsbury’s lavender and jasmine liquid and the fabric softener smells amazing, plus it’s concentrated so you only need a bit.” A fourth answered: “Lenor Crete is amazing and lasts for days.”

Another comment said: “I use Daz powder and spring awakening softener, clothes smell lovely for ages.” Yet another response read: “Never changed from Persil in 55 years and my Mum before me. Use blue Comfort also.”

Meanwhile, someone else revealed they use a trio of products to achieve a fresh smell that lasts for weeks. The commenter, named Teresa, said: “Bold pods, Lenor scent boosters and Lenor Outdoorable. Always gets compliments and the fresh smell on clothes lasts weeks.”

All three products are available from several supermarkets, typically costing around £10 or less. For instance, Asda sells Bold pods Washing Liquid Capsules for £7. A reviewer said: “Gorgeous smell, removes most stains and is so much cleaner and tidier than powder.”

The supermarket also sells Lenor Scent Booster Spring Awakening for £10.48 and Lenor Outdoorable Spring Awakening Fabric Conditioner for £4.
