The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is getting a remake for the Switch 2
Nintendo announced a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time during its Nintendo Direct presentation on Tuesday. It will launch sometime in 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2. More details will be announced “in the future.”
Like with Super Mario, Nintendo is starting to seriously look at taking the Zelda franchise beyond games, too, with a live-action movie set to debut on April 30th, 2027. Late last year, the company shared a few images of stars Bo Bragason (Zelda) and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (Link) in costume, and their outfits suggest the film will take cues from titles like Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess.
