Kate Middleton has long been linked to the Bee Venom range from premium skincare brand Rodial, which offers many luxury skincare products. It has been rumoured that Princess Kate’s go-to moisturiser is the Rodial Bee Venom and Placenta 24 Carat Gold Ultimate Crème, which is currently down from £750 to £115.

The cream is said to contain a ‘youth-boosting formula’ dedicated to smoothing and brightening the appearance of skin and tackling the 10 visible signs of ageing. The brand says it helps to decrease the appearance of expression lines, wrinkle depth, and age spots, while golden speckles provide an immediate radiance boost.

The brand is also offering the Dragon’s Blood Little Luxuries Kit, which contains four minis, for £58. It’s usually worth £106 and includes the Dragon’s Blood Cleansing Water (100ml), Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel (9ml), Dragon’s Blood Eye Gel (5ml) and the Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Velvet Cream (10ml).

The set is said to ‘hydrate and tone’ the skin and is described as a ‘four-step routine with barrier-supporting, skin-soothing actives to nourish dry, dehydrated and sensitive complexions’. Plus, shoppers have rated it highly, leaving an average 4.9 out of five stars in their reviews.

As an alternative, shoppers could try the Dermatological Edit kit, which is worth over £168, from LookFantastic. It’s currently available for £33.75, down from £45, and includes products from La Roche-Posay, Medik8, Bioderma, Avene, FirstAid Beauty and Bioeffect.

Or at Cult Beauty, there’s the Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream (30ml) for £155. The site says this ‘buttery formula’ is powered by a blend of argan, avocado and evening primrose oils, plus Omega 6-rich fatty acids and antioxidants.

The Dragon’s Blood Little Luxuries Kit and Bee Venom and Placenta 24 Carat Gold Ultimate Crème both have positive reviews online. For the kit, one shopper said: “Love this product and company so much. Ordered the Dragon’s Blood Mini Kit to see if it suited my skin, and was amazed by the results. The sculpting gel is the best thing I have used in a long time.”

A second said: “These products are the first skin care products that I have found that work for my skin; definitely will be buying the full-size versions.” A third said about the cream: “Having only been using for a short while – skin feeling the benefit already. Feels nourished, smooth and glowing. Won’t be using any other creams again.”

One person deducted a star for the kit, saying: “It is a very good offer but I only wanted 2 items. I will gift the rest of the offer.” Another said of the cream: “Like it – stings a little so may be too harsh for my skin type.”

The Dragon’s Blood Little Luxuries kit and Bee Venom and Placenta 24 Carat Gold Ultimate Crème are available from Rodial.
