Musician sings his newest single at the 2026 AMAs live from Las Vegas

Teddy Swims performed his recent hit, “Mr. Know It All,” on Sunday night at the American Music Awards.

Swims was introduced by fellow Georgian Mariah the Scientist, and he launched into a soulful rendition of his new single on a stage resembling a boarded-up house. Backed by musicians on plucky guitar and hand drums, Swims’ voice shone as he sang about anticipating the demise of a relationship.

Although more than a year has passed since Swims released his most recent album, 2025’s I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2), he’s been riding high with singles like “Gone Gone Gone,” which features David Guetta and Tones and I and is up for Collaboration of the Year at this year’s AMAs. He also contributed “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming” (not the Judas Priest song) to the soundtrack of the second season of Nobody Wants This.

He also turned heads at both weekends of Coachella in April with hits-filled sets and guest appearances by David Lee Roth, Joe Jonas, and Vanessa Carlton. “As a victory lap, Swims closed his set with his biggest hit, ‘Lose Control,’ inspiring sway-alongs throughout the field, as pyro blasted onstage and Swims rode off on a custom bike, a cap on a set that clearly learned every possible lesson from mid-day sets of past years to deliver something memorable,” Rolling Stone reported. He also notably gave “Mr. Know It All” its live debut at the festival.

Hosted by Queen Latifah, the 2026 AMAs are being held at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. Taylor Swift led the night with eight nominations, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Sabrina Carpenter, Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, and Sombr followed her with seven nods each.
