Benidorm has emerged as a favourite destination for Brits wanting a vibrant holiday without spending a fortune, as one visitor recently discovered. For those keen to dance until dawn and sip cocktails throughout the day, this Spanish resort delivers on all fronts, establishing it as a favoured location for stag parties.

But just how inexpensive can a pint become in this party haven?

Graham White, recognised by his online followers as Benidorm Grumet, was astonished to find a pint priced cheaper than a cup of tea. At this specific establishment, a cuppa would cost £1.66, yet to Graham’s amazement, a pint of beer was merely 83p – a sum practically unimaginable in Britain.

The 48-year-old, who routinely documents his Benidorm adventures with his approximately 60k TikTok followers, posted a video displaying his incredible discovery.

In the clip, he surveys the pub, highlighting the customers and staff, before asking the barmaid: “How much is it for a pint of Estrella?”

To this, she responded: “One euro, one euro for a pint,” and he wasted no time taking advantage of the bargain.

He subsequently asked about the price of a cup of tea, discovering it was twice the cost of the pint at two euros.

The discovery left some followers stunned, with several doubters even questioning whether his claim was genuine.

“People called me a liar and said there was no place in Benidorm where you can get a one-euro pint. So I went in and got one,” he revealed, silencing his critics. He described it as the “cheapest bar in Benidorm,” expressing disbelief at the fact that it was “double [the price] for a cup of tea.”

The current average price of a pint in London stands at a staggering £6.50, according to Finder.com’s figures, with the national average not too far behind at £5.44.

So upon touching down in Benidorm, you may well find yourself rather merry having spent considerably less than you would in the UK capital.

Following the post, users flooded the comments section, with some cheekily musing: “Why would you bother with anything else?”

One user chimed in, claiming Benidorm is “cheap as chips” when compared to other popular holiday destinations.

Further reactions included someone bemoaning: “Love the price, pity I don’t drink,” another recent visitor enthusing “Went here yesterday, the food is ace as well,” alongside comments such as “Bargain of the day,” and the wholehearted endorsement, “May as well get the pints in!”
