Amazon’s Fallout adds major Breaking Bad star to Season 3 cast | Gaming | Entertainment

Amazon has recruited another Hollywood A-lister to join the cast of Fallout for Season 3, and you’ll instantly recognise him from Breaking Bad.

As reported by Deadline, Aaron Paul has signed on for the cast of Season 3, joining the likes of Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins on the roster.

It’s not currently clear what character he’ll play, or whether he’ll be a help or hindrance to our protagonists. If the world of Fallout is anything to go by, he’ll probably fall in the grey area between the two.

An announcement post on the official Amazon Prime X account reads: “Okie dokie, please welcome Aaron Paul to Season Three!!!”

This isn’t the first time that Paul has worked with showrunner and executive producers Jonathon Nolan and Lisa Joy. The three collaborated on the third season of HBO’s Westworld, although that season was panned by both fans and critics alike.

So far, Fallout appears to be on a much more positive trajectory than Westworld with both Season 1 and 2 among the top four most viewed seasons of TV on Amazon’s Prime service. Season 1 currently sits at 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, while Season 2 supersedes it at 96%.

Season 3 of Fallout started filming earlier this month on May 1 with sets constructed in Santa Clarita and Hollywood. There’s currently no release date, but it’s thought to be targeting a release date of late 2027.

Executive producer Jonathon Nolan said in an interview during the release of Season 2 that the crew wants the show to be off air for the least amount of time as possible. “I think what’s happened with television in terms of, you know, taking longer and longer from season to season is an unfortunate trend,” he said in an interview with IGN.

“You don’t want the show to lose any of its scope, [so] we like to be back on the air as soon as we can.”
