Uniqlo’s ‘extremely comfortable and stylish’ trousers now under £20

Shoppers have been eager to snap up discounts at Uniqlo as a top-selling pair of trousers has gone on sale. The Japanese fashion retailer is renowned for its stylish yet comfortable clothing.

Among its most sought-after pieces are the Stretch Easy Ankle Trousers, which are unisex. Normally priced at £24.90, the pink colourway has been reduced to £19.90. Described as a regular fit with a tapered silhouette and pockets, the trousers are available in sizes XS to 3XL, made from 97% cotton and 3% elastane, and feature an elasticated waist with a tie.

Numerous customers who have purchased the trousers have left glowing reviews. One said: “Best fitting ever, comfortable, best looking trouser.”

Another added: “Trousers were extremely comfortable and soft. Fit nicely and were highly complimented.”

Someone else commented: “Great comfortable trousers, I have them in four different colours, easy to wear and suit lots of occasions.” A fourth said: “These trousers are stylish and so comfortable. They are a staple in my wardrobe.”

Despite the positive feedback, certain customers felt the trousers were not quite long enough. One said: “Too short for my taste, even though it’s ankle-length.”

If you opt for a visible stitch, the alteration is free for trousers priced at £19.90 and above, or costs £3 for items under £19.90. A blind stitch costs £3 regardless of the trouser price.

Other high street retailers stock elasticated tapered trousers too. Asos offers the ASOS DESIGN Oversized Tapered Trousers with Pleat for men.

These are available in grey, tan or black. Originally priced at £32, they have now been reduced to as low as £22.50, depending on the colour selected.

For women, Next stocks Pull On Tapered Trousers With Linen for £20. Available in sizes four to 20, they come in black and navy blue. A palm tree pattern and blue and white stripe style can also be purchased for £22.
