A film and TV enthisiast has urged viewers to watch a two-part true crime documentary that will leave your jaw on the floor with all of its twists and turns.

While many will have gotten into the habit of relaxing in front of the TV to watch a good film or series to relax after a long day, it can be overwhelming to pick out what you want to watch next. Whether you’re in the mood for romance, action, or something in between, there will always be something new to watch.

One genre that never gets old, however, is a true crime documentary, as several TV enthusiasts will be gravitating towards the grizzly crime shows that are guaranteed to leave you on the edge of your seat.

This is the case for one TV fan named Eccy, who has now urged his 418,000 TikTok followers to watch a two part documentary that will be sure to leave your jaw on the floor with its unexpected twists.

“So if you’re a fan of true crime documentaries, I have found the perfect one that you can go and watch tonight,” Eccy said at the start of his video.

He went on to reveal that the documentary he was talking about is called The Basement: A Vanishing in Apple Valley, which is available to watch on Channel 5.

The documentary tells the story of how a mother, her kids, and a neighbor mysteriously vanish from a blood-soaked home in Ohio in 2010. It sees the woman’s friends and family members recall trying their best to get in contact with her, as she didn’t show up to work and wasn’t answering her phone.

After visiting the house twice, they noted that her car had gone missing from the drive way between their visits. And after spotting blood inside the home, they soon called the police.

What continued is an intense investigation with lots of twist and turns that viewers won’t see coming, as the documentary highlights the chilling details of the vanishing and the investigation that followed.

“Now this is a great two part documentary, it is so shocking what has happened to this family, who did what they did, and oh my god, I couldn’t recommend this enough,” Eccy said.

Eccy went on to write in the caption of his post: “This documentary belongs on everyone’s watchlist and you need to watch it tonight!!”

And viewers soon thanked the film fanatic for the recommendation, as many said they had rushed to watch it.
