The Strokes Set Summer Tour in Support of ‘Reality Awaits’
Fresh off the Strokes’ main stage set at Coachella, the band has announced a summer tour in support of their upcoming album Reality Awaits.
The trek revolves around the Strokes’ previously announced gigs at festivals like Outside Lands, Sea.Hear.Now, Shaky Knees, and Bonnaroo, where the Reality Awaits the World Tour will begin on June 12.
Following that fest, the trek will hit North American amphitheaters and arenas, including a two-night stop at Morrison, Colorado’s Red Rocks. As of now, the North American leg will conclude September 20 at Asbury Park, New Jersey’s Sea.Hear.Now Festival, after which the Strokes will embark on a European jaunt.
Thundercat, Cage the Elephant, Hamilton Leithauser, Fat White Family, Alex Cameron and ÖLÜ will serve as opening act at select dates. Check out the Strokes’ official site for ticket information and artist presale sign-up.
Reality Awaits, the Strokes’ first album since 2020’s The New Abnormal, arrives June 26. Last week, the group shared the first single “Going Shopping,” the lone track from the new LP that made its way onto the Strokes’ Coachella setlist. The band will return to the main stage next Saturday for Coachella’s second weekend.
