Aldi is giving shoppers 40,000 ‘incredible’ free sweet treats this Easter
Aldi has announced it will be giving away a ton of portions of one of its much-loved chocolates to shoppers this Easter. The supermarket revealed it will be giving 40,000 packets of its Choceur Mini Chocolate Eggs to customers, to get them into the festive Easter spirit.
Customers will be able to snag a bag by receiving a £5 voucher, which is enough to buy five bags of the Mini Chocolate Eggs, that come in at just 99p. The supermarket’s Choceur Mini Chocolate Eggs have been winning over shoppers and critics alike, consistently praised as some of the best on the market. While a standard Cadbury Mini Egg packet costs £2, Aldi’s Choceur Mini Chocolate Eggs are just 99p, saving shoppers a staggering 51%.
In a TikTok video that has racked up over 740,000 views and over 40,000 likes, influencer @BeccaEatsEverything recently rated the Aldi treat a nine out of ten, describing them as: “incredible”.
In her video, Becca said: “Honestly, the shell is great…the chocolate inside is really good. It’s nice and sweet, it’s milky, these are excellent.
“If these were put in a bowl and I didn’t see the branding, I would have a hard time knowing these weren’t Cadbury.
“Amazing. I’m giving these a 9/10.”
The giveaway comes after Aldi cheekily doorstepped Bournville last week, with a branded Aldi van and staff offering free Choceur Mini Chocolate Eggs to Cadbury World visitors.
Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: “What better way to celebrate our popular Choceur Mini Chocolate Eggs than by doing a huge giveaway. Our mini chocolate eggs are flying off shelves as our customers praise both the taste and value.”
For a chance to win one of Aldi’s £5 vouchers, shoppers will need to email EggGiveaway@aldi.co.uk before Friday, March 27.
