Florida Georgia Line Reunite Onstage to Sing for Jason Aldean
The duo of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley performed at a Country Radio Seminar event honoring Jason Aldean
This is not a drill — Florida Georgia Line are back. The country duo, made up of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, reunited onstage at a Country Radio Seminar event celebrating Jason Aldean. It marks the band’s first performance since they announced their indefinite hiatus four years ago.
“Man it feels good to be here tonight. It feels good to be here with my brother to celebrate our other brother,” Hubbard said before the duo performed “You Make It Easy,” a song they penned for Aldean back in 2018. “Jason, I just want to say, buddy, thank you for believing in us, thank you for taking us on tour, thank you for cutting a few of our songs. Honestly, you were one of the first artists to cut one of my songs so thank you for finding my tune on MySpace,” he added.
“You Make It Easy” is the fourth song that Florida Georgia Line co-wrote for Aldean. When it was released, the track topped Billboard’s Country Airplay charts for two weeks.
Prior to reuniting onstage on Thursday night, Hubbard and Kelley have each pursued solo careers, which was the main reason they cited for their break from the band. “We’re taking a break from recording our music. We’re being artists. We love creating. And so a couple years back, we started writing without each other and trying different writers, and now we’re both doing that with our music,” Kelley said at the time in People.
