Zara Tindall ‘copies’ Princess Kate in chic outfit at Cheltenham | Royal | News

The Cheltenham Festival kicked off earlier today, with Zara Tindall appearing to borrow a signature fashion cue from the Princess of Wales. The King’s niece, 44, who was joined by husband Mike Tindall, stepped out in an elegant navy ensemble for the opening day of the races.
But it was the royals pussy-bow blouse that caught our attention – a classic silhouette that has become one of Princess Catherine’s most recognisable wardrobe staples. The appearance comes as the Cheltenham Festival, which runs until Friday 13 March, transforms the racecourse into one of Britain’s most stylish sporting stages.
While the racing may be the main attraction, trackside fashion has become just as much of a spectacle, with tailored coats, statement hats and polished boots competing for attention alongside the horses.

The feminine blouse style has quietly become a staple in Catherine’s royal wardrobe over the past few years – so it comes as little surprise that Zara appeared to copy the look.
She has repeatedly stepped out in bow-neck blouses from labels such as Gucci and ME+EM, wearing the latter twice already this year.
Zara paired her silk pussy-bow blouse with a sophisticated navy wool coat and completed the look with £435 Fairfax & Favor boots, along with a structured handbag from Aspinal of London – a label she has remained loyal to for years and frequently carries at public appearances.
Standing beside her husband Mike, who opted for a classic tweed coat from Holland Cooper and flat cap, the couple looked every inch the quintessential racing pair. Their coordinated countryside aesthetic perfectly captured the refined yet relaxed atmosphere that defines Cheltenham style.

And Zara was far from the only guest drawing inspiration from royal wardrobes.
The racecourse is often described as an open-air fashion catwalk during the festival, with racegoers arriving in carefully planned outfits that blend traditional British tailoring with modern elegance.
This year, navy appears to be emerging as one of the standout shades across the racecourse – a colour long favoured by the Princess of Wales, who wore the hue yesterday on Commonwealth Day.
Among those embracing the trend was designer and entrepreneur Jade Holland Cooper, founder of Holland Cooper. She stepped out in a striking peplum jacket paired with a matching mermaid skirt in a bold tartan print – notably the same plaid coat pattern previously worn by the Princess of Wales.

The resemblance once again underlined Catherine’s influence over modern British event dressing, particularly at high-profile occasions such as Cheltenham.
With King Charles III and Queen Camilla expected to attend later this week before the festival concludes on Friday, further notable fashion moments are likely to follow.
And if the opening day offered any indication, the Princess of Wales’s signature style continues to resonate across the racecourse – including among fellow members of the Royal Family.
