During Oasis‘ 2025 comeback tour, the 1998 single “Acquiesce” was a set list staple. Most nights, it was the second song the band would play to their sold-out stadium audiences. On March 6, Oasis will release the live version of “Acquiesce” captured at Wembley Stadium for HELP(2), the charity album that will raise funds for War Child UK, which helps children affected by global conflict.

The recording was performed on Sept. 28, the last of seven shows Oasis played at Wembley Stadium last year. It marks their first live recording and physical release since the launch of the Oasis Live ’25 tour. A few years before “Acquiesce” was released, Oasis appeared on the original HELP album. In 1995, their recording of “Fade Away” was selected for the charity album alongside selections from Sinéad O’Connor, Blur, Massive Attack, and more.

“That had a huge effect for the charity,” longtime record executive Rich Clarke recently told Rolling Stone. “At that point, they were doing minor things, delivering supplies behind siege lines in Sarajevo. It allowed the organization to scale up, because crucially, it had money to fund activities.” This time around, Oasis are joined on HELP(2) by Olivia Rodrigo, Cameron Winter, Wet Leg, Sampha, Arlo Parks, Depeche Mode, Big Thief, and more.

“Acquiesce – Live” will follow the release of the HELP(2) singles “Begging for Change” by Pulp, “Opening Night” by Arctic Monkeys, “Flags” by Damon Albarn, with Grian Chatten and Kae Tempest, and “Let’s Do It Again!” by the Last Dinner Party. The record was produced by James Ford and will be released via War Child Records.

“The wonderful thing is, these rights are going to support children affected by conflict in perpetuity,” Clarke added. “The music’s the legacy piece, and the quality of that will carry through for the next 30 years, we hope. Fingers crossed.”
