A woman is advertising a unique job opportunity for one individual to accompany her on dining experiences, shopping excursions and trips to Monaco. The position is for a live-in housekeeper companion, which includes regular stays in London as well as the small Mediterranean nation.

The successful candidate will work for a “kind, independent principal”, assisting with the upkeep of her residences in Doncaster and London, whilst also providing companionship. The job description states: “She is seeking someone capable of confidently managing the household while also being a warm, positive, and engaging presence. This position would suit someone experienced in private households who is comfortable working independently and values building a trusted, long-term working relationship.”

The role offers a salary of £45,000 to £50,000 for the full-time live-in position, with a private bedroom and bathroom included.

Responsibilities encompass providing daily companionship, such as accompanying the principal to theatre performances, meals out, shopping trips and cultural events, reports the Mirror.

The ideal candidate should be a “warm, positive and supportive presence”, offering assistance whilst “respecting the principal’s independence”.

The role also entails taking full charge of maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the homes to a high standard.

Tasks include laundry, ironing and wardrobe management, ensuring the homes are organised, tidy and well-presented, and making sure the residences remain comfortable and ready for daily living.

The role involves preparing simple, fresh and healthy meals, as well as driving for appointments, errands and outings. The candidate would also accompany the principal on train journeys between residences in Doncaster and London.

The job description, posted on HomeOrganisers, states: “This is a live-in Housekeeper / Companion role supporting a kind, independent principal across her homes in Doncaster and London, with occasional stays in Monaco.

“The role combines responsibility for maintaining homes to a high standard with providing companionship and day-to-day practical support.”

Applicants must have prior experience working as a housekeeper in a private household. They need to be “confident” in managing and maintaining a private home independently, whilst possessing a “warm, kind and positive personality”.

The ideal candidate should be reliable, organised and proactive, as well as discreet and trustworthy. The job advert specifies that applicants must be comfortable living in and travelling as part of the role, and be a confident driver with a clean licence.
