Apple TV and Netflix will both stream the eighth season of F1: Drive to Survive. The hit F1 documentary series that has so far been exclusive to Netflix, but the new season will debut on both streaming services on Friday. What Netflix gets is a live sporting event that doesn’t include Jake Paul or two geriatric boxers, as it will get to livestream the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix weekend from May 22nd to 24th to its US subscribers.

F1 races used to air on ESPN, but in an interview with Racer, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali says that the reach the sport gets through Apple “will be even bigger in the future and it is what we want to test in a market that is more mature than the others.” Apple also has the Brad Pitt-led F1 movie, which was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar and is apparently getting a sequel.
