Avengers Doomsday spoilers – ‘Two major Marvel superheroes set to be killed off’ | Films | Entertainment

The MCU’s first Avengers movie since 2019’s Endgame is set to hit cinemas this Christmas.

The first few teaser trailers promise a multiverse crossover featuring the Fantastic Four and the X-Men.

Marvel Studios boss has teased that there’s a whole host of cast members who haven’t been announced yet.

And by the sounds of it, two of the biggest superhero stars of all time are set to crossover, but not just that…

Reliable scooper MyTimeToShineHello posted on X: “HUGE Avengers Doomsday spoilers, DO not keep reading if you don’t want to be spoiled”

The leaker continued: “Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine BOTH die in the opening scene!… In Avengers Doomsday, Deadpool and Wolverine are sent to Tobey’s Earth to destroy it. Then we get an EPIC Tobey’s Spider-Man vs Wolverine fight that ends in tragedy.”

The scooper previously teased for added context: “In Avengers Doomsday, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man fights Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine while their Earths are about to crash into each other.”

Shocking if true, but given it’s a multiverse movie, variants across realities are pretty expendable. If Maguire’s Spidey and Jackman’s Logan die in the opening scene of Doomsday, they’ll almost certainly be back as variants in 2027’s Avengers Secret Wars.

Avengers Doomsday hits cinemas on December 18, 2026 and Avengers Secret Wars follows on December 17, 2027.
