Bruno Mars brought Philly Soul-style bliss to the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, with a Soul Train-worthy performance of his single “I Just Might.”

After opening the ceremony alongside Rosé earlier in the night with a performance of “Apt.”, Mars stormed the stage of the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles for the second time on Sunday, backed by a live band, complete with horn section. He wore an appropriately retro flared-collar shirt under a three-piece red suit, and the backing musicians were dressed to match.

Mars is up for three awards tonight: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, all for “Apt.”

Overall, Mars has been nominated for 36 Grammys and won 16. A longtime staple of the awards show, he made his performance debut in 2011, when he delivered a medley of “Grenade” and “Nothin’ on You,” the latter a collaboration with B.o.B.

Mars is set to release a new album, The Romantic, on Feb. 27. It marks his first new LP in a decade, following 2016’s 24K Magic. He’ll kick off a massive world tour in support of the album, which runs from the spring through the fall. He was recently named this year’s Record Store Day ambassador, which will coincide with the release of The Collaborations, a compilation album highlighting his best link-ups.
