‘Soft touch’ M&S cardigan gives ‘very flattering fit’

Marks & Spencer shoppers are praising a soft touch cardigan that has been described as having a ‘very flattering fit’, making it a popular pick for everyday layering. The lightweight knit is easy to throw on over tops and dresses, offering comfort without feeling bulky.

The Soft Touch Waisted Fitted Cardigan is available for £38 from M&S. Available in sizes extra-small to extra-large and colours dark khaki and black, there is a choice for everyone as customers say it fits true to size. 

This soft touch cardigan is cut to sit close to the body, creating a neat, fitted shape without feeling restrictive, according to M&S. It has a subtle waisted silhouette with a curved hem, designed to skim the figure in a flattering way.

It also features a ‘button through front’ that makes it ideal for layering, and it has a classic crew neckline and long sleeves. Debenhams also has the Wallis Shawl Collar Cable Cardigan for £22, down from £59, that comes in sizes small, medium and large, but it is running low in stock so buyers would have to act quickly. 

Back to the M&S cardigan, one happy shopper said: “Nice cardigan and very flattering fit. True to size.” Another person wrote: “A heavy soft touch cardigan. Sits well. Lovely with jeans.” 

A third wrote: “Love everything about this cardigan, the fit, the buttons, the sleeves, it all goes to make this cardigan look more designer than M&S.” This person did leave a comment about the length, however, saying: “This is a very smart cardigan that is heavy enough to wear as a jacket in the spring. Sleeves are quite long but can turn up.” 

Another said: “Product very stylish and neat fitting. Lovely colour too. Buttons are a bit difficult to undo at first but soon loosen with use. Haven’t washed yet so don’t know how it will be.”
