Roborock’s new Saros 20 robot vacuum cleaners got a climbing upgrade
Roborock’s latest robovacs don’t need help getting out of tricky situations. At least, that’s one of the perks of the improved AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 on the Roborock Saros 20 and Saros 20 Sonic announced today at CES 2026.
The upgraded chassis in Roborock’s new flagship robot vacuum cleaners allows the bots to climb over thresholds up to 3.3 inches tall total, including double-layer thresholds up to 1.7 and 1.57 inches per step.
The bots can also clean carpets more effectively with dynamic chassis elevation that automatically adjusts the bots’ height for carpets with pile up to 1.2 inches high. The height-adjustable chassis also helps the robot vacuum cleaners free themselves if they get stuck on anything, which ideally means users will need to rescue their bots less frequently.
For those in need of especially good mopping capabilities, the Saros 20 Sonic features an improved VibraRise 5.0 sonic mop that extends to clean right up to baseboards. Users can customize its water flow and mop vibration settings for different types of floors from Roborock’s app.
Both robot vacuum cleaners will be available later this year, but Roborock has not yet announced pricing information.
