Clint Eastwood action thriller is on TV this Christmas Eve | Films | Entertainment
Between 1971 and 1988, Clint Eastwood starred in five Dirty Harry action thrillers.
The Hollywood star plays Harry Callahan, a violent and unorthodox inspector for the San Francisco Police Department.
Fourth film Sudden Impact, which Eastwood also directed, is on ITV4 today.
The 1983 classic follows Eastwood’s gritty cop hunting down a serial killer.
The film famously features Dirty Harry’s immortal catchphrase, “Go ahead, make my day”.
Five years later, Eastwood returned for a fifth and final Dirty Harry movie, with The Dead Pool. Although this time around it was directed by his friend Buddy Van Horn, whom he chose because he knew he’d shoot the movie quickly.
Sudden Impact is on ITV4 tonight a 11:55pm and is streaming on ITVX.
