Get M&S £50 perfume set for £14.75 with deal stack

If you’re still looking for Christmas presents, Marks and Spencer‘s own-brand perfume is a great shout. Some of the scents in the range have even been likened to smelling like much more expensive brands by customers. And if you’re not sure which one to choose, shoppers can currently get the discovery set of the full range of scents for less than £15 using a clever deal stack.

The retailer’s Full Fragrance Collection is already on sale, down from £50 to £30, but new members to TopCashback can get it for less than £15, reports Belfast Live.

The money-saving website is offering new members and new M&S customers a free £15 sign-up bonus as well as cashback on any purchase of £15 or more. This reduces the price of the discovery set to just £14.75, working out to roughly £1.64 per 30ml bottle. All shoppers need to do to unlock the reduced price is to make their purchase through this unique link.

Inside are nine 30ml bottles of the most popular scents from the retailer’s own-brand fragrance range. Discovery sets are a popular choice for gifting, and it’s unusual to find one with 30ml bottles, as they are usually much smaller. The discounted price of £30 was already a bargain, especially compared to other discovery sets on the market, like one from Penhaligon’s that offers five 5ml bottles for £50.

Normally, these 30ml bottles retail for £7 each, but after the discount and TopCashback cashback, the M&S collection works out to about £1.64 per bottle.

The set is a brilliant way to try the most popular scents from the retailer’s fragrance range, many of which have similar notes to popular designer fragrances. They can be gifted together as is or split up into smaller stocking fillers.

Sweet Frangipani has notes of frangipani (a fragrant, tropical plant), rose and vanilla, and some shoppers have compared it to designer fragrances. One said: “This is exactly the same as Gucci Rush, which is my fave-ever scent. Bought [this] on a whim and after one spray and an hour later (for staying power), got back online and bought another two bottles. Love, love, love it.”

Another sweet scent in the set is Sweet Pistachio, which features notes of pistachio, tuberose and tonka bean. It has been compared to Kayali’s popular Yum Pistachio Gelato, which starts at £28 for 10ml, and it has been a hit with shoppers. One wrote: “Smells divine! Much better value than the designer perfume it smells like!” Another said: “It’s gorgeous for day or night.”

For those who like a little spice with their sweetness, there’s also a bottle of Pink Pepper, which has notes of petitgrain, pink pepper and vanilla and has been described as “subtle but powerful” in one review. In another review, one shopper likened it to a much more high-end fragrance. They said: “Read a review of this in a paper and decided to give it a try for £6. So glad I did. I’ve tried other dupes of La Vie est Belle, but none are as good or lasting as this.”

Similarly, another person said: “This smells divine. Similar to La Vie Est Belle. Great price. Perfect for your handbags.”

There are also some evening scents, like Velvet Amber, which has notes of amber, neroli and jasmine and has been compared to the likes of Chanel No.5 and Thierry Mugler Alien. One review said: “This perfume is perfect for the evening and is long-lasting. Expect compliments.”

The set also includes a bottle of the limited-edition scent Winter Nights, which is currently out of stock on its own. It has notes of red berries, jasmine and amber, and could be a great festive scent. A shopper said it’s “perfect for cold, crisp autumn and winter days and evenings”, while several others have compared it to Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge, which retails for £255 for a 70ml bottle. “Smells exactly like Baccarat Rouge,” one said, while another called it a “definite close at a fraction of the cost”.

If the winter cold has you wishing it were summer, the set also contains more summery scents. White Coconut balances creamy notes of coconut and vanilla with fresh orange, and one fan said it “cheers you up as it reminds you of sunshine and summer”. There’s also a bottle of White Jasmine, a more floral scent with notes of jasmine, bergamot and sandalwood. One shopper described it as “a lovely summery smelling scent that reminds you of holidays.”

If you prefer lighter perfumes, Warm Neroli blends notes of neroli, bergamot and musk to create a citrusy scent. A review said: “Light and slightly floral – perfect as a spring scent. Full perfume can sometimes be overwhelming for others, so this is light and subtle. I do a big spray before I leave the house.”

For lovers of citrus perfumes, there’s also a bottle of Fresh Mandarin, which has notes of mandarin, ylang-ylang and vanilla. Shoppers say it’s “fresh and summery”, and “a good everyday fragrance”.

M&S shoppers are praising the set for its variety and value for money. One said: “Absolutely 100% value for money. Spoilt for choice each day.”

Another wrote: “Perfect way to try all lovely perfumes, they all smell lovely so will be buying many in the bigger bottles!”

Others thought it made a great gift, with one saying: “Someone brought me a travel set last Christmas and it’s been so useful and I have loved trying the fragrances. I had no hesitation in buying some for Christmas presents, plus one as a present for myself this year!”

Another echoed the sentiment, saying: “Bought three of these sets for gifts for friends. They came beautifully boxed in perfect condition. There is an explanation at the bottom of the box about each fragrance. I hope they love them. I would be very pleased to receive this set.”

Several shoppers noted that these fragrances are not particularly long-lasting, which is due to the fact that they are eau de toilettes (EDT) rather than eau de parfums (EDP). Due to their formula, EDPs tend to be lighter than EDPs and therefore require reapplication, so this should be considered if longevity is a dealbreaker.
