Royal fans’ issue with Meghan Markle’s outing on Remembrance weekend | Royal | News
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were out attending glitzy events in Los Angeles and royal fans had one complaint to make. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made two appearances on Saturday evening, hours after the Royal Family attended the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall and before Sunday’s sombre ceremony at the Cenotaph.
Harry and Meghan were pictured at Baby2Baby’s annual gala to support their pal, Serena Williams, who was honoured at the event, before they headed to Kris Jenner’s birthday bash. For the joyful occasion, the couple looked glamorous, with Harry sporting a tuxedo and Meghan wearing all black.
However, Meghan’s turtleneck top appeared to be a different shade of black or a different material from that of her black skirt and royal fans were not impressed.
Several of them took to social media to express their disapproval, with one user writing on Instagram: “A polo neck jumper with a skirt – and they’re not even the same tone of black. Strange choice for a black tie event.”
A second one said: “I’m honestly horrified.”
A third one added: “The only thing that bugs me is the different shades of black (top and skirt). It’s not always visible, but when you see it, you can’t unsee it.”
Another one commented: “I wonder the top and bottom looked like the same when getting dressed.”
A fifth one asked: “Finally found a MM outfit i cannot like. Why don’t the skirt and top match???”
Someone else commented: “Love the shoes but the neck looks [a] little strange and o dont like the the diference in the tone but again love the shoes.”
On the same evening, the Sussex couple made a new announcement, through their Archewell Foundation, about their philanthropic efforts amid the “growing hunger crisis” in the United States.
