Becky G Documentary ‘Rebbeca’ Sets Two-Night-Only Event This December

“This film isn’t about perfection,” Becky G added in a statement. “It’s about becoming. Rebbeca was filmed in a moment of personal transition, when the questions were still louder than the answers. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s healing.” 

The Mexican-American singer first announced Rebbeca — which documents Becky G making her first música mexicana album, Esquinas, her first headlining tour in 2023, and “a glimpse into this continued journey of healing” — back in April, two months before the film debuted at Tribeca.

“Rebbeca symbolizes resilience, the kind that shows up quietly in our families, our culture, our growth,” Becky told Rolling Stone at the film festival premiere. “This film gave me the space to show up not just as Becky G, but Rebbeca. It’s about identity, healing, forgiveness, and honoring the people and places that made me.”

Rebbeca features never-before-seen moments from Becky G’s early performances, including a talent show at CityWalk where she sang a Cheetah Girls song.
