Robert Pape, University of Chicago professor and founding director of the Chicago Project on Security and Threats, told “Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan” that he believes the U.S. is in an era of “violent populism,” which he says can be defined by the rise in political violence from both the right and the left and increased support for political violence.
