Days after Blackpink debuted “Jump,” their first new song in three years, at a South Korea concert, the K-pop group shared the studio version of the track, along with its music video.

For the single, the quartet of Jisoo, Jenny, Rose, and Lisa enlisted an army of songwriters — TEDDY, Diplo, 24, Zikai, Claudia Valentina, Jumpa, Malachiii, and Jesse Bluu — for their foray into the hardstyle genre. The track was produced by Diplo, 24, Boaz Van De Beatz , Zecca, and Ape Drums.

“The track opens with a striking guitar riff that evokes the feel of a Western film, setting a vivid, cinematic tone,” a press release states. “Fueled by powerful beats, an unpredictable hook, and expressive vocal lines that showcase each member’s unique character — the song delivers an intense, addictive energy that instantly gets pulses racing. Blending BLACKPINK’s signature style with fearless experimentation, ‘JUMP’ broadens the group’s musical range in a way that is both fresh yet familiar.”

Blackpink previously confirmed they planned to debut a new song during the South Korea concert last week. In June, the group’s record label, YG Entertainment, announced that the band was filming for a new music video. “We are filming in Korea with a famous overseas director,” the label said in a statement. “This will create another iconic music video that encapsulates Blackpink’s identity and musical color.”

Following their South Korea comeback show, Blackpink will embark on a world tour this weekend that kicks off with a pair of shows on July 12 and 13 at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. From there, the group will head to Chicago, Toronto, and New York before the European leg begins in August.

The group’s last album arrived in 2022 with Born Pink. While speaking to Tyla for Rolling Stone‘s Musicians on Musicians issue last year, Lisa shared her excitement about reuniting with her fellow members. “By next year, I think I would just keep releasing music and get together with the girls. I can’t wait to share with the girls what I’ve been doing,” she said at the time.
