Last fall the NRA publicly demanded that doctors who comment on gun violence to “stay in their lane.” And doctors responded. More than 40 medical organizations have joined forces to confront the 40,000 firearm-related deaths that occur each year – a public health epidemic, they say, that can be addressed.
