The 38-year-old R&B singer, model, and actress welcomed her third child with husband Alex Fine two weeks after testifying against Combs

Casandra “Cassie” Ventura welcomed her third child, a baby boy, with husband Alex Fine. The couple previously welcomed two girls in 2019 and 2021, ABC News reports.

Ventura hit the eight-month mark in her pregnancy prior to taking the stand in the first week of Sean Combsongoing sex-trafficking and racketeering trial. Fine appeared alongside family and loved ones as the 38-year-old R&B singer, model, and actress testified. It marked the first time Ventura and Combs had seen each other in person since 2018. It was also the first time she spoke publicly about the alleged sexual, physical, and emotional abuse she endured during her decade-long relationship with Combs.

Ventura revealed that she was having a boy in an Instagram post celebrating Fine’s birthday in March. “There aren’t words to describe how grateful I am that I get to do this life with you,” she wrote. “The laughter and pure joy that I get to experience with you is beyond any of my dreams and manifestations. You’ve taken care of me and my heart like no other, you’re hands down the best girl dad and I’m SO excited to see you now become a father to OUR SON! 🤯

She added: “So happy to have you home again!!! The girls and I (and French Fry) absolutely adore you and have missed you so much. These past few months were hard without you here, but we are so proud and can’t wait to see you shine.”

Last year, Fine showed support for Ventura in a statement shared to Instagram about the need to believe and support survivors of sexual and physical abuse. “To all the survivors you’re not alone, and there are men and women who care only for your well-being and safety. We want you to succeed and flourish,” he wrote. “To all the women and children, I’m sorry you live in a world where you’re not protected, and you don’t feel equal. I want to raise my daughters in a world where they are safe and loved.”

Ventura took the stand during the first week of Combs’ trial, going into painstaking detail about the drug-fueled “freak-offs” that have become synonymous with the accusations against Combs. Ventura told jurors that after her first freak-off at age 22 — a time that she described herself as “naive” and “enamored” with her label boss Combs — the days-long, “humiliating” sexual encounters with Combs and male escorts occurred almost weekly, sometimes for up to four days.

In cross-examination, Combs’ lawyers have painted Ventura as a willing participant in the freak-offs and said the case revolved around a mutually toxic relationship and not sex-trafficking. The trial is expected to last until early July.
