The band will perform at MetLife Stadium on Aug. 10, in a full-circle moment as Nick Jonas recalls their “really humble beginnings playing in malls”

Jonas Brothers are bringing it home. The band has announced plans to celebrate their 20th anniversary with the Jonas20: Living the Dream Tour. Fans across the country will have to wait until the complete routing details are revealed on March 22 to see if the trio will be visiting their city, but the group’s fellow New Jersey natives are getting the hometown special.

Jonas Brothers will headline MetLife Stadium on Aug. 10 as the official launch show of the extensive tour, a dream venue for the siblings. “Our journey began in New Jersey, it’s where we grew up,” Nick said on Good Morning America. “Joe mentioned riding up and down the East Coast in a trailer. Just really humble beginnings playing in malls, because we couldn’t sell tickets ourselves, and we’d pop up in there and play.”

This weekend, Jonas Brothers are hosting the full-circle fan event JonasCon at American Dream, a mall and entertainment complex located across the highway from MetLife. They will be performing with their original 2007 band and additional sets will be performed by Nick, Joe’s group DNCE, All-American Rejects, their younger brother Franklin Jonas, and more.

Kevin added that their younger selves, who performed in that same mall nearly two decades ago, “would have laughed” at being told they would make it to the MetLife Stadium stage. “Now we’re sitting here being able to play these venues and see our fans that have supported us for so many years,” he said. “It’s just incredible.”

Jonas Brothers also have new music coming, with a full-length LP scheduled to arrive with their latest single “Love Me to Heaven.” “For us, this really represents going back to the roots,” Nick said. “We’re definitely tapping into Bruce Springsteen inspirations that we had growing up in Jersey. It’s got that up-tempo feel and feels more in line with our earlier stuff, which has been so exciting for us to tap back into and work with some incredible collaborators.”
