Morgan Wallen Previews Album ‘I’m the Problem’ With Singles: LISTEN
Morgan Wallen is teasing his album I’m the Problem with two new songs. On Friday, the country singer released “Just In Case” and “I’m a Little Crazy,” which will be featured on his album, out May 16.
“I have been a problem, for sure, and I’ve got no problem admitting that,” Wallen said in a statement ahead of the singles’ release. “But there are other sides to me as well. I’ve spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, ‘Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?’”
“I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it,” he added.
Wallen announced I’m the Problem‘s release date on Thursday, along with its courtroom sketch-esque album cover. He’s set to perform on Saturday Night Live on March 29.
Wallen admitting that he has “been a problem,” might refer to several missteps in the last few years: In December, he pleaded guilty to throwing a chair off the sixth-story roof of a Nashville bar, and in 2021, he was infamously recorded saying the n-word to a group of friends.
The artist shared a teaser for the single “I’m a Little Crazy” earlier this month on his social media. “Oh, once you get to know me, I’m a coyote in a field of wolves,” he sings on the track. “Oh I’m a red letter rebel, but some become the devil when the moon’s full.”
The new songs join “Lies Lies Lies,” “Love Somebody,” “Smile,” and “I’m the Problem” as some of the tracks expected on the upcoming album, his first since 2023’s One Thing at a Time. He also named his tour after the album’s title and is expected to bring the likes of Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, and Thomas Rhett on the road with him.
