Happy Gilmore 2 trailer – Adam Sandler sequel gets Netflix release 30 years on | Films | Entertainment
Let’s be honest: Adam Sandler may be a great comic, but he’s starred in some pretty terrible comedy movies over the past few decades.
Nevertheless, he has made a few gems and one that’s become a cult classic has to be Happy Gilmore.
The 1996 comedy follows Sandler’s failed ice hockey player, who discovers he’s an unorthodox but skilled golfer.
Entering paid tournaments, it’s not long before Happy upsets the sports’ gatekeepers.
Now, 30 years on, the star is back for Happy Gilmore 2, which also sees Julie Bowen reprise Virginia Venit and Christopher McDonald return once again as Shooter McGavin.
As revealed in the trailer, even Ben Stiller reprises Hal in a sequel featuring a ton of professional golfers as themselves.
Happy Gilmore 2 is streaming on Netflix from July 25, 2025 and the original movie is on Sky and NOW.
