Sky News has won News Channel of the Year at the Royal Television Society (RTS) Awards for the eighth year in a row.

In 2024, Sky News reported on stories such as the UK’s general election – with highlights including Beth Rigby’s questioning of Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer in Grimsby – and the Southport stabbings.

The World With Yalda Hakim featured interviews including several exclusives with the Qatari prime minister, a key mediator in Gaza ceasefire talks.

Elsewhere, Africa correspondent Yousra Elbagir and her team covered the Sudan war while in Mexico, Stuart Ramsay boarded “The Beast” train carrying migrants towards America.
