The all-star Garden State 20th-anniversary benefit concert in Los Angeles quickly sold out, but fans of the 2005 movie and its beloved soundtrack will be able to stream the concert exclusively on Veeps.

The streaming platform announced Thursday that the March 29 one-night-only show at the Greek Theatre will come to Veeps beginning on April 6, allowing fans to experience the Garden State concert, which benefits Midnight Mission, a homeless shelter and services provider in Los Angeles.

“We were blown away by the amount of interest in the Garden State 20th Anniversary Concert Benefiting the Midnight Mission. While the theater only seats 6,000 people, recording the show enables us to share the special night with people all over the world,” the film’s star and director Zach Braff said in a statement to Rolling Stone.

“Most importantly, it’s another huge way we can give back to the community by supporting the Midnight Mission and all they do for the unhoused and those affected by the Los Angeles fires.”

Garden State: The 20th Anniversary Concert will feature performances by the Shins, Iron & Wine, Frou Frou, Men at Work’s Colin Hay, Cary Brothers, Frou Frou, Thievery Corporation, Remy Zero, and more artists from the movie’s soundtrack, as well as appearances by the Garden State cast and still-unannounced special guests.

In October 2024, Rolling Stone spoke to Braff about the iconic soundtrack, which helped propel the careers of the Shins and Iron & Wine and even inspired Paul Simon to resume playing “The Only Living Boy in New York” live again after it featured on the album. “People had a reaction to the film that was really positive, and people wanted to relive that experience through the album,” Braff said. “And that doesn’t really happen anymore. People just buy songs, and they don’t usually buy full soundtrack albums anymore.”

Braff added of the 20th anniversary concert, “We’re planning all sorts of surprises for the audiences, some behind-the-scenes clips, clips from the movie, and a bunch of surprises that we need around six months to pull off.”

“I’m deeply honored to have the opportunity to produce a show that not only celebrates the lasting impact of this once-in-a-generation soundtrack but also stands as a beacon of hope for families facing homelessness,” Executive Producer Laura Glass, founder of cocolittle media, added in a statement.

“Garden State was one of my favorite movies when I was growing up, and still to this day I believe it had one of the best soundtracks of all time,” Paige Mycoskie, founder of Aviator Nation, the company doing merchandise for the event, added in a statement. “The movie was the beginning of a personal love affair with so many incredible artists and I could not be more excited to create the merchandise for this exciting celebration of the iconic music of such an iconic film.”
