Asda issues warning to customers about children’s toy

Big Asda stores sell more than food; many people enjoy the home, clothes and electronics section of the supermarket.

Included in the bigger supermarkets is the toy section, which would have been popular over Christmas.

For many, purchasing a toy from Asda is an affordable way to bring joy to a little one’s face.

However, on January 14, 2025, Asda issued an important product recall of their George Home Baby Walker.

Asda stated: “We have found that in a small number of cases, this product may pose a risk of choking due to the potential release of the metal bar used to hold the mirror and balls in place.

“If you have purchased a George Home Baby Walker – barcode 5063089161265 – please stop using it immediately and bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a refund. You do not need your receipt.”

On the same day, Asda issued a food alert about McGhee’s Brown Rolls due to a packaging error.

McGhee’s Family Bakers Scottish Brown Rolls have been mixed with soya-containing white bread rolls.

Asda said the presence of the allergen soya had not been declared on the packaging, making it a risk to customers who have a soya allergy.

The supermarket giant said: “If you have a soya allergy please do not consume this product.

“Instead, return it to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
