7 fatally shot in British Columbia school, 2 more dead at separate location

A gunman killed seven people at a British Columbia secondary school on Tuesday, while another two people were found dead at a separate location, believed to be connected to the school shooting, police said.
The attacks were carried out in Tumbler Ridge, a small city in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, on Tuesday afternoon, the Royal Mounted Canadian Police said in a statement.
The shooter was also found dead, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the agency said.
Police went to Tumbler Ridge Secondary School about 1:20 p.m., where the shooter and six victims were found dead on arrival, the RMCP said. A seventh victim died en route to a hospital, it said.
Two others were airlifted to medical facilities with life-threatening injuries, the RMCP said.
An estimated 25 others at the location sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The campus was evacuated.
Police went to a second location believed to be related to the attack and found two more people dead, the RMCP said.
The case was under investigation and motive was unclear.
