Three Christmas hampers

Christmas hampers are a great option when you don’t know exactly what to buy someone (Image: M&S / Fortnum and Mason / Snowdonia Cheese Co)

It might feel like the days are flying by, but Christmas is now just under two weeks away, so it’s definitely time to start checking off that gifting list. It’s easy enough when you know exactly what someone wants, but things get a little trickier when you’re not quite sure what to get. That’s where Christmas hampers come in. If you’re struggling to come up with a gift idea for a special someone, hampers are a brilliant option, and honestly, they’re my go-to whenever I’m stumped.

Whether you’re shopping for a foodie and want to spoil them with a luxurious selection of treats, or you’re after a special hamper packed with everything for a relaxing night in, there are plenty of great options out there.

Usually, Marks and Spencer is my first port of call, mostly thanks to their wide selection and pretty good value for money. Of course, you can always splurge on something a little more extravagant, like a Fortnum & Mason hamper, if you’re really chasing that opulent moment—though theirs usually start upwards of £100. Luckily, I’ve done some digging and found a Fortnum & Mason hamper that comes in well under the £100 threshold but is still packed with their delicious treats.

If neither of those appeals, I’ve picked a few other options below (and I’ll be back to update this page as I spot more offers and deals throughout the festive season).

But be warned: if you do find yourself down to the wire, just make sure you order before the final Christmas delivery date.

The M&S Collection Hamper – £55

The M&S Classics hamper

Undoubtedly, one of my absolute favourites when it comes to Christmas gifting for basically anyone in my family (with the exception of the kids) is the M&S Collection hamper. It contains six items, including sweet and savoury treats, as well as a bottle of M&S Classics Côtes du Rhône. Those with a sweet tooth will love the Cornish Cruncher All Butter Biscuits, Milk Chocolate Florentines, and Shortbread Fingers.

For a savoury fix, the hamper includes Rye Sourdough Crackers and a British Ale and Caramelised Onion Chutney. Plus, all the food comes in a sturdy, classic wicker hamper basket that can be reused as a storage basket, a picnic hamper, or even filled with your own goodies to pass on next year.

Everything inside the M&S Collection Hamper

  • M&S Classics Côtes du Rhône (75cl)
  • Collection Milk Chocolate Florentines (170g)
  • Collection All Butter Cornish Cruncher Biscuits (80g)
  • Collection British Ale and Caramelised Onion Chutney (230g)
  • Collection Rye Sourdough Crackers (130g)
  • Collection Shortbread Fingers (165g)

While Marks & Spencer has a wide range of Christmas hampers to choose from, some of which can go above the £100 mark, at £55, the M&S Collection is one of the most reasonably priced—especially considering it contains six versatile items (including wine), all presented in a pretty wicker hamper. As with all M&S gifts, the hamper qualifies for free delivery, and you can add your own message for free.

On the M&S website, one shopper said: “I get this Christmas Hamper every year for my husband, he loves it. It’s a great gift, it has some lovely things to eat and drink. It’s a must for Christmas.” A second person added: “Lovely basket with contents that anyone would be pleased to receive.”

However, if you want to order this to be delivered in time for Christmas, you’ll need to do so by Monday, December 22, 2025. This is the final day for Christmas deliveries and in-store collections.

The Fortnum & Mason Merrymaker’s Hamper – £75

Fortnum & Mason merrymakers basket

The Fortnum & Mason Merrymaker’s hamper is one of the most affordable options from the brand (Image: Fortnum & Mason)

Fortnum & Mason is a classic when it comes to luxury Christmas hampers and gifting, but their prices can exceed £100. In fact, one of their most high-end hampers, The Sovereign, retails for a massive £2,500, while their Christmas Day hamper will set you back £500. However, the good news is that some more affordable options are still available on the website.

If you want to splurge a little more and gift someone one of their coveted hampers, the Merrymaker’s Hamper is one of my top recommendations, as it sits nicely under £80.

Presented in a classic handwoven wicker basket, complete with the F&M branding, the £75 Merrymaker’s Hamper comes packed with an assortment of seasonal treats. There’s a Christmas pudding, an assortment of festive teas, a cognac butter and some biscuits.

Everything inside the Fortnum & Mason Merrymaker’s Hamper

  • Christmas Cognac Butter, 195g
  • Christmas Orange and Chocolate Biscuits, 125g
  • St. James Christmas Pudding, 227g
  • Plum, Apple and Cinnamon Infusion Tin, 25g
  • Christmas Spiced Loose Tea Tin 25g
  • Christmas Green Loose Tea Tin, 25g

It’s a great option for someone who isn’t bothered about the inclusion of alcohol (the ones that come with a boozy addition tend to be a little higher in price), and each item is packaged in seasonal packaging. Plus, the wicker basket can be reused.

The final date for standard delivery is December 16, 2025, to ensure it arrives in time for Christmas. If you’re willing to pay extra for named-day delivery, you’ll have until December 21, 2025, to place your order.

Snowdonia Cheese Co Quintessential Cheese Hamper – £47

Cheese hamper from snowdonia cheese co

This is a great choice for a cheese lover (Image: Snowdonia Cheese Co)

In many households, a cheeseboard is a key part of Christmas Day, whether to share with visiting friends and family or simply to enjoy on your own. So, a cheeseboard could be a handy gift that will be put to good use straight away. Snowdonia Cheese Co. offer a range of cheese hampers at various price points, but if it’s just cheese you’re after (along with some crackers and a couple of chutneys), then the Quintessential Cheese Hamper is a great option, coming in under £50.

Packaged in a navy blue wicker hamper with gold hardware, the £47 hamper contains eight items, including five 200g cheeses, plus two chutneys and a box of wholemeal and extra virgin oil crackers. That works out at roughly £5.80 per item, and considering cheeses start from around £5.50 to £60 for the smallest sizes, you’re getting a decent selection of items, plus that lovely presentation hamper.

Measuring 29.5 x 16 x 20cm, the hamper is a great size to reuse for gifts in the future or as a handy storage box – so it’s almost like getting a gift within a gift.

Everything included in the Quintessential Cheese Hamper

  • Black Bomber: Extra mature Cheddar 200g
  • Red Devil: Red Leicester with chillies 200g
  • Red Storm: Vintage Red Leicester 200g
  • Beech Wood: Mature Cheddar, naturally cold-smoked 200g
  • Green Thunder: Garlic and herb cheddar 200g
  • Balsamic Caramelised Onion Chutney: Sweet caramelised onions and aged balsamic vinegar 100g
  • Pear, Date & Cognac Chutney: Snow pears, aromatic cognac and dates 114g
  • Wholemeal & Extra Virgin Olive Oil Crackers: Malty, savoury and crunchy crackers for cheese

In a review, one shopper said: “I recently bought two hampers for Christmas gifts to family (and some cheeses for myself), absolutely excellent packaging for the hampers and delicious cheese.”

A second person said: “Always impressed when ordering the hampers. They’re a big hit with family members. The last two I have purchased arrived the next day.”

However, if you want to order this as a Christmas present, the brand recommends placing your order by midday on December 22, 2025, at the very latest. However, they advise ordering early to avoid any festive delivery delays.

The Bloom & Wild Family Favourites Christmas Hamper – £49.60

Bloom & Wild Gift basket

The Bloom & Wild Hamper is designed for the whole family to enjoy (Image: Bloom & Wild)

You may know Bloom & Wild for their flower delivery service, but the brand also sells hampers and gifts that can be delivered directly to your front door. Though hampers are in high demand at this time of year, they’ve still got a range on sale, including the Festive Family Favourites Christmas Hamper.

It comes packed with nine sweet and savoury treats from an assortment of brands, all tucked into a classic basket (that’s also completely recyclable).

According to the brand, this one’s made for the whole family to enjoy, with pre-dinner snacking in mind. Inside, you’ll find two dark chocolate bars from The Chocolatier, a tomato chutney and a packet of sourdough crackers from Cutter & Squidge, a trio of Christmas fudges from Fudge Kitchen, a pack of mulled-wine-flavoured gummy sweets from Ask Mummy & Daddy, a jar of Christmas pudding nuts, and a giant gold chocolate coin from Daylesford farm shop.

Everything inside the Family Favourites Christmas Hamper

  • 1 x Gold Chocolate Coin from Daylesford
  • 1 x Dark Chocolate Bar from The Chocolatier
  • 1 x Dark Chocolate Clementine Chocolate Bar from The Chocolatier
  • 1 x Artisan Tomato Chutney from Cutter & Squidge
  • 1 x Christmas Fudge Trio from Fudge Kitchen
  • 1 x Mulled Wine Gummies from Ask Mummy & Daddy
  • 1 x Oven Baked Sourdough Crackers from Cutter & Squidge
  • 1 x Jar of Christmas Pudding Nuts
  • 1 x Pack of Mini Pulling Crackers from Talking Tables

Although the basket usually retails for £64, it’s currently on sale for £49.60, resulting in a saving of £14.40. In addition to the festive discount, what I like about this one is that it contains an assortment of interesting brands, along with plenty of sweet treats that the whole family can enjoy.

Standard delivery is free, and, at the time of writing, next-day and nominated-day delivery (Monday to Saturday) is available for an added cost. Although Bloom & Wild haven’t specified a final cut-off date for Christmas delivery, we’d recommend ordering for a nominated day with plenty of time to spare, just to avoid any unexpected festive delays.

The Lime, Bergamot & Mandarin Fragrance Gift Set – £60

M&S white wicker hamper

The Library of Scent Lime, Bergamot & Mandarin Gift Set has six scented items inside (Image: M&S)

Now, of course, not everyone wants a food or beverage hamper, and that’s where a pamper-packed gift hamper comes in. Marks & Spencer has a couple of lovely fragrance and wellness gift sets filled with things like candles and room diffusers.

One of my personal favourites is the Library of Scent Lime, Bergamot & Mandarin Gift Set, which is packed with six scented candles and room fragrances, all presented in a white woven wicker basket shaped like a heart. The fragrance is fresh and floral, and if you like Jo Malone’s Lime, Basil and Mandarin, this could be a good, more affordable alternative (one of Jo’s candles goes for £56 for a 200g candle).

Inside the gift set, there are three ceramic heart tealight candles, a lidded candle, a ceramic wax melt burner (and melt), a room spray, a diffuser, and a refresher oil. The basket is cute enough to use as storage, maybe in a bedroom or bathroom.

Everything inside the Lime, Bergamot & Mandarin Gift Set

  • 1x 100ml Diffuser
  • 1x 100ml Room Spray
  • 1x Lidded Candle
  • 1x 10ml Refresher Oil
  • 1x Ceramic Wax Melt Burner & Melts
  • 3x Ceramic Heart Candles

Shoppers have given the gift a 4.8-star satisfaction rating out of a possible five. One customer said: “Beautiful quality. Purchased this gift for a friend recovering from surgery. I was so impressed with the quality and the items that I purchased three more for Christmas presents. The presentation of the gift is very pretty.”

Another added: “Beautifully packaged, each item was wrapped separately inside the basket, so it’s possible to split for individual gifts. The scent is lovely… It’s not overpowering, just subtle.” However, one shopper said: “Lovely item, but the smell was not strong enough for me.”

However, unlike the food gift hampers, standard delivery is £3.99 or £5.99 for next-day delivery. If you want to receive it in time for Christmas, you’ll need to place your order by December 20, 2025, for standard delivery or by December 23, 2025, for nominated day delivery.
