£22 ‘stylish and comfy’ wellies to keep dry in Storm Amy
The weather has definitely turned this week and with the arrival of Storm Amy expected to bring heavy rain and gusty winds across much of the UK, its the perfect opportunity to put your waterproof gear to the test. We spotted these Regatta’s Lady Harriett II ankle wellies that combine practicality with style and cost just £21.60.
These short Wellington-style boots deliver full waterproof coverage through their molded PVC upper. The ankle height keeps you nimble yet protected — ideal for city puddles or countryside footpaths alike. Regatta describes them as “stylish, comfy and weatherproof,” built to last through wet days outdoors.
Inside, the boots feature a foam insole to help keep them comfy and cushion your steps. Plus, there’s nothing worse than trying to pull muddy or wet boots off by hand, so these have a pull tab at the back, and the elastic sides means they’re easy to slip on and off.
One of the big draws of a shorter wellie is that you can get waterproof protection without the bulkiness of full tall boots. It makes them versatile for different outfits, and the sole has a decent tread pattern to help grip on wet surfaces.
These Regatta boots are available from a number of sites including Marks & Spencer, where they’re priced at £28, Regatta that has them on for £24 down from £40, however it currently has a discount code (TAKE10) to get 10% off to get them down to £21.60. The boots are also available on ASOS for £25 but unless you pay for the Premier service you’ll have to fork out £4.50 for the postage and packaging.
Regatta has the Lady Harriett II in colours like navy and white, deep green, black and a light mocha-tan, in sizes 3 to 8, and the high shine finish gives them a polished look. They’re definitely not just boots for dog walks but something you’d be happy to wear into the pub.
Reviews for the boots are positive, with many raving about how comfortable they are. One customer wrote: “My partner wears these on wet mornings walking our dog excellent quality great value and perfect fit.” Another shopper simply added: “Stylish and comfortable.”
Of course, no boot is perfect. One customer wrote they weren’t suitable for wide feet. They penned: “Lovely boots, they fit well. However, they are a bit narrow.”
